2008 Retreat

Dr. Mark Liederbach Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Mark Liederbach, husband and father of three children, is Associate Professor of Christian Ethics at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Liederbach served on the staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for four(4) years and has published numerous articles on the subjects of Cloning, War, Birth Control and Reproductive Technologies, as well as Marriage. He recently published his first book entitled The Convergent Church: Missional Worship in an Emerging Culture, and is planning his second book project, Marriage as Worship, due out sometime next year. Dr. Liederbach is much in demand as a professor and speaker, and will challenge us in the areas of responsibility and spiritual leadership, as God's Man in the Home.


Featured Speaker:
Derwin Gray, is a former NFL player and Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Teaching at theGathering, a multi-ethnic church in Charlotte. Derwin also serves as President of One Heart at a Time Ministry in Charlotte. He is a 2004 graduate of the Billy Graham Institute of Emerging Evangelists and of Southern Evangelical Seminary with a Masters of Divinity with Apologetics. A highly sought-after communicator, Derwin has shared the Gospel message throughout America and abroad, with an intense passion that is contagious and inspiring. Derwin will be bringing us a message on the Biblical view of evangelism: Dancing to the Rhythm of God's Grace.

MattMissionary Speaker:
Matt Fisher, returning first term missionary to Russia, has been teaching Bible and theology at the Kuban Evangelical Christian University in southwest Russia. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Matt and his wife, Terri, enjoy deepening their relationships outside the classroom with various groups of the students. Matt will share about his journey from an associate pastor in a North Carolina Alliance church to his present ministries in Russia and about how the Lord has been working in and through him.
